UPS Systems
The data floor is supplied power via a 300kVA Thycon UPS system expandable to 450kVA for future growth and to maintain an N+1 configuration.

Power Distribution Boards & Power Outlet Rails
The Triveni hosting platform 45RU racks/cabinets are powered with 40-outlet power rails fed from two separate power distribution boards, to facilitate our servers, which are equipped with redundant power supplies.

Air-conditioning
The conditioned air is dual filtered once upon entering the building and then continually re-filtered by the process coolers. The data centre is cooled by state of the art process cooling units. The units are strategically positioned around the data areas to provide the most effective and efficient cooling; room conditions are kept at 20°c and 50% humidity.

All areas have redundancy built in to the cooling capacity in the event of a process cooler failure. Room temperature, humidity and equipment alarms are all monitored by our building automations system located in our manned Network Operations Centre (NOC).

Access Monitoring
The Triveni hosting platform is located in a professionally managed data centre.
The data centre provides multi-layered security, ensuring physical security at all times. The buildings location is in Melbourne CBD, yet separate and inconspicuous.

CCTV cameras are strategically located throughout the facility, recording 24 x 7 x 365. Access to secure areas is via swipe card, through the computerised access-control system. On site security guards provide the next level of security.

Physical Security
The data centre is manned 24 hours a day 365 days per year by fully trained staff, which constantly monitors the fire detection and other building systems.
Systems track the location of on-site visitors and personnel through a swipe-card access-control system. All doors are electronically locked, and in the event of a security emergency all doors can be locked out.

Dual Diesel Backup Generators
The site is equipped with dual 500kVA backup generators with 32 hours of diesel fuel at full load. The data centre has negotiated priority fuel supply contracts with multiple vendors for prompt refueling. The generator system supplies power to the critical building system in the event of an extended power outage.

IDC
The data centre’s IDC is protected with a fully automatic dual-alarmed FM 200 fire suppression system. The FM 200 system is armed and deployed with a dual zone photoelectric smoke detection system mounted both on the ceiling and in the cool air plenums of the data centre.

Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus
The data centre also utilises the state of the art Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA), which uses laser technology to sample the air and provides the earliest possible warning of a potential fire situation.

The VESDA system will warn onsite staff who will investigate the cause of the alarm and will deal with any potential trouble spot using one of the multiple hand held gas fire suppression extinguishers or by manually activating the FM200 system.

Fire Protection
The data centre is protected with a fully automatic dual-alarmed FM 200 fire suppression system. The FM 200 system is armed and deployed utilising state of the art Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA), which uses laser technology to sample the air. Detectors are mounted both on the ceiling and in the cool air plenums throughout the data centre.
